Shannon Lenstra
President & Interior Designer

Shannon’s exuberance and commitment to excellence and customer service that she so exemplifies within her company Kon-strux goes beyond it to the Renovation Industry as a whole. Shannon has been an active steward of the RenoMark Council for the past five years, and Chair of the Council for the past two years.  RenoMark is the Canadian Home Builders’ Association - Calgary region’s industry watchdog of renovators.  She also presides annually as a CHBA SAM Award judge. In 2014 Shannon was a nominee for the Alberta Women Entrepreneurs (AWE).  Shannon believes strongly in community participation and making a difference in the things we do around us.

Shannon’s hands-on involvement in every aspect of the business ensures our customers receive the finest possible workmanship and value. She is best known for her positive and upbeat attitude that has helped motivate everyone at Kon-strux to be the best team possible. Shannon’s philosophy that “a satisfied customer is our greatest asset” has allowed and will continue to allow Kon-strux Developments Inc. to grow and excel.

John McC

John McCoy 
General Manager

John brings a wealth of experience and expertise to the Kon-strux team with almost 40 years of construction industry experience in Alberta. Starting in the late 1970’s working in the retail building material industry in the Edmonton area, he moved very quickly into the wholesale side of the business successfully managing a sales territory for a large national manufacturer / distributor including northern Alberta, the NWT, and parts of northern Saskatchewan and B.C. In the late 1980’s John accepted a position with a wood products brokering firm trading wood commodities on international markets. In the early 1990’s he established a consulting business working primarily with building material retailers and focusing on training, marketing & business management, which led to the subsequent purchase and operation of several retail franchise businesses. In 1994 the franchise business brought John and his family to Calgary where he continued to operate in both the Calgary & Edmonton markets. In 2004 John moved full-time into the residential home renovation business accepting a position as general manager with a well-known Calgary renovation company where he has worked until joining the Kon-strux team late in 2014. John is recognizable in the south-east neighborhood of Douglasdale Estates where he and his wife Lesley have raised three daughters and remained active in the community. John has also been very active working with the renovation faction of the Calgary Home Builders Association and has received several service awards during that time. He promotes a simple philosophy – people first, open communication, mutual respect and honesty.

Steve Kuehner

Steve Kuehner 
Business Development / Marketing

Steve is a native Calgarian with over 20 years of business development, marketing and customer service experience in the Calgary marketplace.  His strong interest and passion for real estate development led him to join the Kon-strux team to help individuals see their property dreams come to life.  Steve is focused on developing lasting relationships with each client while ensuring they are completely satisfied with their finished project.  This dedicated customer focus helps reinforce the Kon-strux philosophy that “a satisfied customer is our greatest asset".

Boris Santelices (1)

Boris Santelices
Senior Construction Manager - Commercial Projects

Boris has been working in the residential and commercial construction industry for the past 22 years. His wealth of experience is a great asset to the Kon-strux team. He has worked on a wide range of projects from The Fairmont Banff Springs, Calgary Westin, Best Buy, Future Shop, Coach, The Bay, multi-million dollar custom homes, bathrooms, kitchens, and basement developments. Boris also has experience in running jobs with crews in excess of 50 people and multiple sub trades, which makes him great at managing any size renovation. His extensive knowledge in all facets of residential and commercial construction adds to the finished product of each job he manages . He has the ability to foresee issues and address them before they become major. Boris is someone you would be happy to have in your home and understands the intricacies of taking you through a renovation with ease. Boris will ensure a spectacular finished product every time and feels “there are no problems, only solutions.”

Rob Higman

Rob Higman
Operations Manager / Senior Project Manager

Rob has more than 15 years experience in the construction industry. He has a background as an interior and exterior finisher/carpenter, which contributes to his skills as a project manager. Rob's goal is to ensure the customer is well informed, understood and involved in their renovation process. Rob's position as a project manager involves co-ordination of the trades, which allows the job to be executed on schedule. Rob's attention to detail will guarantee you have a high quality finished product that will exceed your expectations. His years of construction experience allows him to make expert suggestions that will leave your home not only functional, but aesthetically pleasing. Rob is committed to the customer and to establishing a long lasting relationship with them.  In addition to his own project manager duties, Rob's role with Kon-strux has expanded to operations manager, providing support to the other project managers with the BuilderTrend system and day-to-day operations.

Connie Pozzo

Connie Pozzo
Project Manager

Connie Pozzo began her career with Kon-strux in June of 2008. She has recently finished her Project Manager Professional Designation Degree at Mount Royal University. Connie has years of experience with client renovation projects, as well as, doing her own personal projects; new home builds, full home renovations and additions. This allows Connie to relate to the client, as she has been through the renovation process personally. Working as the General Contractor on her own home helps her see the homeowner’s perspective during the renovation process and the stresses this may entail. Connie is a licensed Journeyman Communication Electrician, which was achieved through the SAIT, prior to Kon-Strux she was employed with TELUS for 14 years as a Network Project Coordinator. Being able to understand how the trades and trade processes work, enables a smoother transition to work as a team to create a superior finished product. Connie is highly organized with great attention to detail, this ensures you receive the highest quality possible. Connie will work with you to achieve your wants and needs, giving you the womanly touch that makes your space a home.

Al Emery

Al Emery 
Project Manager

 Al has almost 20 years of experience in the construction industry.  He is a finishing carpenter by trade who takes great pride in his work. This has made him an excellent project manager with a great eye for detail.  Al was an instrumental part of the team for a high end custom home builder who won the Builder of Merit award. He also played a role in achieving Renovator of the Year, multiple years running, with another luxury renovation company in Calgary. Over the last 10 years, many of his projects have either been finalists or won CHBA Calgary Sam Awards. He has worked extensively in both new home construction and renovations, both small and large. Al has many great ideas when it comes to design and will offer suggestions that will suit your style and needs with functionality in mind, and in keeping with your budget.  He always finds a way to make his customers happy and ensure they are pleased with their finished product.

Brady Berg

Brady Berg 
Project Manager

Brady has been involved in the construction industry for 15 years, with a very diverse background. His experience spans from heavy earthworks, new home construction, infills and multi-family, commercial and residential renovations, and agricultural development and planning. The skills acquired over the years and multiple job titles have prepared Brady for any situation, with a strong emphasis on doing things properly from the first bucket of dirt to the last stroke of paint. As a project manager for Kon-Strux, his goal is to ensure client satisfaction throughout the whole construction process by consistently communicating information between trades, suppliers and clients. This communication allows for less grey area, a higher level of productivity and quality, and ultimately the project of your dreams.

Olga Bayliss

Olga Bayliss 
Project Manager & Design

Olga’s desire to create enjoyable spaces for people began with a career early in her life. She has spent more than 35 years in the construction industry initially in commercial and retail, and then moved into residential, specifically renovations. Though she has worked on numerous new builds, spec and show homes, her heart is in the renovation industry. She loves the challenge of creating a more current, functional and beautiful transformation from the existing dated areas in a home and seeing the happy, excited customer once the project is completed. And along the way many of these customers have become very good friends. Her enthusiasm, high standards, attention to details and ability to listen to her customers’ needs ensures that the vision the customer has can be created for them within the budget and time line. She is always happy to guide the customer in all their overwhelming decisions from the initial design, to which tile or colours to choose. Having worked as a project manager overseeing a project from design to final completion, as well as having her certificate in Interior Decorating, Olga is able to bring her vast experience in both the construction aspect as well as design.  By doing so, projects are well thought out and functional as well as aesthetically pleasing. Many of her projects have finalized and won several CHBA Calgary SAM awards. With all her years of experience, skills and creative ideas, Olga can help our customers have a positive and exciting experience throughout their renovation project.

Andreas Wienecke

Andreas Wienecke 
Director - Finance & Corporate Services

Andreas has over 20 years of global financial management experience. In his role of Director for Kon-strux, his key accountabilities are to provide corporate leadership, strategic planning, evaluating and governing all financial aspects of the company.  Well-appointed with both the Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA), Certified General Accountant (CGA) and Chartered Certified Accountant (ACCA-UK) designations, Andreas has persistently developed, maintained and improved an effective and efficient financial /operating environment to successfully drive change through the organization to better support overall corporate vision and growth. Andreas also focuses on the company’s high-level budgetary planning and execution, protecting organizational assets, building capital confidence, optimizing resources and maximizing economic value for the company.

Carol Bell

Carol Bell
Office Administrator

Carol’s background is providing excellent customer service, office support and technical expertise.  Before joining the Kon-strux team, Carol was a support analyst in the accounting department of an oil and gas exploration company, and prior to that worked in the insurance industry in various technical and customer service roles.  Carol’s role with Kon-strux includes providing office support for Shannon and the Project Managers, administrator of the BuilderTrend system, maintaining the office records and database systems, and communicating with our customers and suppliers.  As office administrator, she is knowledgeable and willing to jump in at a moment’s notice to provide support and technical assistance as required.  Carol is committed to keeping the office organized, streamlining workflow processes, and keeping the Kon-strux office operations running smoothly.

Janet Nash

Janet Nash, ACMA, FMAAT
Accounts Payable/Receivable

Janet has worked in the finance field for 40 years gaining her Certified Management Accountant qualification in 1995 and at the same time attained Fellow Member status as an Associated Accounting Technician.  She spent 18 years working for British Telecom starting as an office assistant, reaching the first level of management before leaving the company. Janet then spent the next 19 years working for the National Health Service as Assistant Management Accountant, achieving Head of Financial Services before taking early retirement on successfully getting permanent residency in Canada. Throughout her years in the UK, Janet worked in or managed; Accounts Payable; Accounts Receivable; Payroll; Financial Accounting; Treasury; Procurement; Customer Services, preparing monthly board reports, cashflow projections, annual budgets and annual report and accounts. Since settling in Canada Janet has worked as an Accounts Receivable Administrator on contract, prior to taking over the accounts for Kon-strux in 2012.

Jenn has focused on Interior Design in her career and have made it her specialty. Through her years of experience she has had the pleasure to work with some amazing designers who have mentored her into the technologist she is today. Jenn’s experience allows her to provide an accurate and well put together technical set of contract documents.
